Look no further. Barnet Learning Disability Service have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Learning Disability Challenging Behaviour Nurse to join their dedicated and forward-thinking team.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a friendly and dynamic Learning Disability Nursing Team and can expect to utilise your knowledge, skills and experience by promoting excellent quality care through evidence-based practice and value-based approaches to People with a Learning Disability within the London Borough of Barnet.
The post-holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist Nursing support to individuals with behaviours of concern.We pride ourselves in driving change and improving the lives of people with a Learning Disability. If you do too, come and join us!

- Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities preferred)
- Relevant degree education or degree level academic courses relevant to learning disabilities
Desirable
- Further education regarding challenging behaviour
- Positive behaviour Support Trained

- Significant post qualification experience in learning disabilities nursing in a community environment
- Experience of working with people with a learning disability and challenging behaviour
- Experience of care co-ordination for people with complex needs .
- Experience in providing training to a variety of different audiences
- Experience of overcoming barriers within primary care settings to ensure people with learning disabilities have fair access to healthcare .
- Experience of working with a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of service development work
- Experience of making accessible information
- Experience of working with social care
- Experience of supporting safeguarding concerns
- Experience of implementing the Mental Capacity Act

- Experience in writing and implementing PBS plans .
- Experience of completing continuing healthcare checklists
