An exciting opportunity has arisen in Central London Community Healthcare, Speech and Language Therapy Service to join our Early Years team in delivering a service to the Boroughs of Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham and Kensington and Chelsea. We provide comprehensive assessment and therapy packages for pre-school children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative and creative Speech and Language Therapy Assistant with very good communication skills to work as part of our highly skilled, dynamic and supportive Early Years Speech and Language Therapy team.

Main duties of the job
To develop and implement programmes of support to children and families under the direction of the Speech and Language Therapy line manager and team, to promote development of communication, language, speech skills for preschool children and young people
To assist the speech and language therapists in assessments, taking observations of children's communication skills e.g. social communication, play, attention, understanding, language and speech.
To run groups with the speech and language therapists.
To plan and deliver, under the supervision of the Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, health promotion activities, workshops and programmes of education / therapy practice for families and early years practitioners
To support SLTs with preparation for delivery of training including room bookings, managing promotion of courses, managing applications and attendees' queries, preparation and copying training materials and training room set up.
To provide advice to others regarding the development of early language and communication skills
