Administrative Officer - Brent Specialist Children Services

Job summary

The Brent Children Clinical Services Unit has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic person with an eye for detail to support our Specialist Children Services.

You will be joining the forward thinking and innovative Children Therapy Teams (Paediatric SLT, OT and Physiotherapy) and the Child Development Service, in Brent.

We are seeking a proactive individual with a good understanding of using databases, excel and clinical systems such as EMIS, to input information and to generate reports and ensure the caseloads and waiting lists are kept up to date. This will include supporting the teams with validating data sent by the CLCH Business Team.

You will be motivated and innovative and keen to support all teams to deliver quality family centred care where children are at the heart of the work we do. This will include supporting a wide range of clinical staff in managing waiting lists and booking appointments in a timely manner and as per service targets as well as sharing reports with relevant external partners. You will be supported and will work closely with the Therapy Team Leads and Therapy Clinical Leads.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a comprehensive and high-quality administrative support to the Brent Specialist Children Services, including Children's Speech and Language Therapy, Children's Physiotherapy, Children's Occupational Therapy and the Child Development Service (Community Paediatrics).

The post holder will take responsibility for booking clinics, processing new referrals, updating waiting lists and communicating appointment related information to patients/parents/carers.

The post holder will support the day to day running of the office.

Essential

  • Good literacy and numeracy, general education
  • NVQ Admin Level 3 in Administration or relevant experience
