The closing date is 29 July 2025

Job summary

A great opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified dietitian to join the Harrow Community team based at Alexandra Avenue Health and Social Care Centre in Harrow, Northwest London.

We have a wide range of patients under our care, so you will receive a wide range of experience. Type 2 diabetes, weight management, nutrition support, IBS, paediatric obesity and fussy eating (over the age of 3 years), and cardiovascular disease are all areas that we cover. We also have a home enteral nutrition team, where you can be supported to develop your skills.

This role involves contributing to our extensive Harrow GP clinic outpatient service. You will also be responsible for training a diverse range of community health professionals, including practice nurses, community nurses, and nursing home staff. Your caseload will include patients in nursing homes as well as those receiving care at home. While having a car and a driver's license is preferred, it is not essential, as the team has access to a pool car for your use.

We are committed to creating a supportive environment that encourages continuous professional development (CPD). You will have access to ongoing training opportunities and be encouraged to enhance your skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based practice. We are also involved in student training so in addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will play an active role in mentoring and supporting dietetic students.
