Job summary

To contribute and participate in the delivery of a comprehensive Health Visiting service in line with the Healthy Child Programme and local service specifications and service model for health visiting that meets the public health needs of local communities.

To deliver the Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018), including improving health and life chances for children and families and safeguarding those at risk.

To deliver the role in accordance with CLCH Trust values and behaviours.

Main duties of the job

Support the delivery of a 'child focused service' which promotes good partnership working with parents, nurseries, children's centres and other agencies.
Support the work of the 0-19 Service with planned programmes of public health care and health promotion in accordance with The Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009). Undertake activities as delegated by the Health Visitor, in support of the delivery of the 0-19
To act as the link 0-19 professional for identified Private Voluntary and Independent Nurseries in line with local service specification.
To deliver the role specific elements of the Universal Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009)
To monitor, maintain and develop the service.
