Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the job :
- To deliver an effective and competent level of clinical care under the guidance and supervision of the clinical podiatrist, including the use of scalpel after appropriate training.
- To monitor patients' foot and general health and report your findings to the Podiatrist to ensure appropriate care pathways are used.
- To support your colleagues within the service and the wider multidisciplinary setting to ensure that the patient maintains mobility and independence within the community.
- To support your local team in ensuring the day to day running of the service is efficient and smooth i.e., stock control and equipment maintenance.
- To manage your own clinical caseload, providing treatment for patients referred by a podiatrist.
- To provide appropriate education to patients and carers to assist with the delivery of their treatment program and to empower the patient to participate in their self-care.
- Support and provide assistance during Nail Surgery, including taking basic patient observations
