Job summary

Brent Special School Nursing team are looking for a flexible, motivated and highly skilled administrator to join us in supporting children and young people with health needs to attend school and achieve their potential.

We are based at The Village school in Brent but also provide outreach services to Woodfield school, Manor school and The Avenue school.

You may be expected to travel between sites to support the nursing team with tasks such as heights and weights so will need excellent communication skills, administration and IT skills to support the team in delivering a high-quality service to the pupils and any professional partners.

Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will provide a comprehensive and high quality administrative support to the team. The post holder will assist in organising the team's workload and manage diaries.
  • Post holder will be part of the National Child Measurement Programme and will weigh and measure children in Reception and Year 6 and accurately record the measurements.
  • The post holder will provide supporting administrative functions such as ordering supplies, support temporary staff and the day to day running of the office.
  • The post holder will act as a point of contact for patients, colleagues and external partners and appropriately manage communications within the team
  • The post holder will take responsibility for referral, visit and appointment administration as appropriate to the role, and communicating appointment related information to patients/carers.
