We're looking for talented Emergency Clinical Practitioners to join our innovative Advanced Clinical Practitioner-led Walk-In Service at the Soho Centre for Health and Care. This is a unique chance to be part of a transforming service, dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred care within the vibrant heart of London.
Main duties of the job
As a valued member of our team, you will:
- Utilize your advanced diagnostic skills and clinical reasoning to autonomously assess and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute undifferentiated conditions - from minor injuries and common ailments to more complex health needs and acute exacerbations of chronic conditions.
- Collaborate closely with emergency services, other healthcare professionals, and statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure seamless and integrated care.
- Play a key role in defining and maintaining high standards of care and practice, contributing to continuous quality improvement.
- Contribute to the operational management and strategic development of the service, shaping its future direction.
- Take on the responsibility of Shift Leader on a rotational basis, overseeing the day-to-day running of the service.
- Communicate effectively and sensitively with patients, carers, and colleagues, ensuring clear understanding and shared decision-making.
- Deliver culturally sensitive care that respects the diverse needs of our community.
- Participate in service audits to evaluate and enhance the quality of our services.

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Registered Health Professional (physio, paramedic) with HCPC.
- Evidence of completion of Level 7 Advanced Clinical Assessment Module
Desirable
- Independent Prescriber (or on pathway to complete)
- Qualification in prehospital care or community care
- Qualification in teaching or practice-based learning.
- University accredited Minor injuries Module
- University accredited paediatric advanced assessment module
Experience

- Proven experience of utilising expert diagnostic and clinical skills to provide autonomous, unscheduled medical care and management of patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions
- Substantial experience in patient care
- Experience in working autonomously in an emergency or other unscheduled care environment or working autonomously within a GP surgery.
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage own workload with minimal supervision
- Experience of effectively working in collaboration, negotiating and liaising across organisational boundaries.
- Experience in monitoring clinical standards
