Job summary

We are looking for an efficient and effective Team Lead to join our busy friendly Single Point of Access administration team, which is customer focused and supports the Adult Community Services across Barnet. This is a varied role which requires impeccable organisational skills and excellent verbal and written communication. Our SPA is open 08.00 a.m. - 08.00 p.m. 7 days a week/including Bank Holidays on a shift/rota basis.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for a team, providing leadership to ensure robust referral management, call handling and appointment booking. The role will require you to use your initiative, be a team player and able to handle confidential issues in a professional manner and work to deadlines. The role will enable you to develop management skills which will include capacity planning and problem solving. The post holder should be flexible and motivated to provide a high quality service.

  • PRINCE 2 qualified or equivalent Project Methodology Experience

  • Experience of setting up office/administrative systems and monitoring, reviewing and implementing changes to existing working practices.
  • Proven experience in running an office including managing, maintaining and developing databases and filing systems including bring forward, maintaining stationery/stock levels and diary management.
  • Experience of staff management and motivating diverse teams
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience of participating in and/or supporting audit activities
  • Experience of working in partnership with other organisations, preferably a mix of public, private and voluntary sector

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
