Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced individual to join and lead the existing dynamic and evolving Inner Northwest Division Walk-In Centre's.
You will be operationally responsible for the Walk-In Centre portfolio, as well as providing service -wide leadership on specific issues.
You will therefore have well-honed performance management skills coupled with an understanding and appreciation of same day emergency care clinical pathways.
You will also head up a range of service development initiatives directly as well as working with and through your teams, colleagues, and peers to deliver service improvement projects.
You will operationally manage the three Walk-In Centres which see both adults and paediatrics for minor illnesses and injuries and is a vital part of the northwest London same day emergency care provision supporting local Emergency Departments and Primary Care.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for day-to-day management, quality and risk and performance of the service delivery.
To support the Head of Service in delivering high quality care that delivers best value and to monitor and evaluate the quality-of-care provision, identify and promote areas for service development in accordance with Trust service and team requirements
Provide clear and consistent leadership to the professional and direct care/rehabilitation assistant/technician staff within the department/unit and be responsible for the continuous management of services.
Take lead responsibility for ensuring that patient experience of the service are positive and for monitoring and leading improvements in conjunction with annual patient surveys, FFT, and Quality Assurance Framework for community services.
Lead Quality and risk management for designated area and investigate when necessary incidents to identify avoidable/non avoidable harm and be responsible for corrective actions reporting to and working with senior and corporate teams in the pursuit of harm free care.
Provide visible accessible and authoritative presence in clinical settings and patient residential environments to whom patients and families can turn for assistance advice and support.
Give information and share learning as required, including notification of incidents and accidents to staff, patients and visitors.
