Job summary

NWL Procurement Services ("NWL PS") is part of Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, andprovides procurement and supply chain management services across all members ("NWL Members").The Catalogue Assistant is responsible for supporting the provision of an efficient and effective CatalogueManagement service for NWL PS. The role is within the Procurement Systems team and will ensure allcatalogues for goods and services are accurate and enable the efficient operation of e-Procurement cataloguesfor contract, in accordance with NWL PS governance.Integral to the role is the requirement to ensure that catalogues are up to date, with all approved changesprocessed in a timely fashion and in accordance with NWL PS governance.

Main duties of the job

OPERATIONALo Support the development and maintenance of catalogues for goods and services on NWL PS eProcurement Systems.o Responsible for ensuring that supplier products are correctly aligned to NWL PS product codingstructures, resulting in high quality data to inform future decisions.COMMUNICATIONo Establish professional relationships with identified stakeholders.o Use well developed communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to engage a range of staff tosupport the delivery of the Procurement Systems team in line with agreed NWL PS strategies and plans.o Support communicating Procurement Systems strategies and plans to the NWL PS Delivery Board forapproval.o Build and maintain the reputation of NWL PS as a highly professional service with effective businesspartnering arrangements ensuring maximum satisfaction among both internal and externalstakeholders.o Champion a culture of customer service excellence and value for money delivery in ProcurementSystems.

  • NVQ Level 3/ONC Business Studies or relevant equivalent experience
  • Exposure to Catalogue Management
  • Experience of stakeholder management in a customer and results focused environment
  • Understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain processes
  • Experience in providing and receiving complex information
  • Experience in using analysis and judgement to analyse a range of facts or situations, requiring comparison of a range of options
  • Experience in planning and organising complex activities and/or projects/programmes and formulating/adjusting where necessary
  • Experience in managing projects with financial/commercial impact including budgets and benchmarking
  • Negotiation: A skilled negotiator with a broad range of skill sets
  • Analysis: Skilled in being able to conduct analysis on complex data sets to provide concise insights
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrating ability to engage with stakeholders at multi levels
