Bank Dental Receptionist, Out of Hours Emergency Dental Services
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join team of Bank workers.
The post holder will take responsibility of the co-ordination and smooth running of the reception area in a professional and courteous manner ensuring that the reception area is operational during published opening times, providing excellent customer service to service users and support the Dentist and Nurse on duty in the smooth running of the department.

MAIN RECEPTION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your duties are:
- To complete all tasks as outlined within the Emergency Dental Services (EDS) Reception Guidance, including meeting, greeting and to register all dental patients appropriately.
- To enter all dental patients details on Kodak R4.
- Ensure all patients or their careers/guardians signed the PR Form, indicating their payment or exemption status.
- To process payment from patients, issue receipts and record all payment transactions as set out within the EDS Reception Guidance.
- To contact patient in advance of their appointment and request patients attend with exemption certification prior to attending the clinic.
- Ensure to escalate any queries relating to payment and exemption certification to the EDS Operational Lead or Personal Assistant to the Senior Leadership Team.
- To manage all queries concerning the EDS, including via telephone and face-to-face, and where appropriate to consult with the dentist or EDS Operational Lead.
- To ensure the EDS reception operates within the set opening hours.
- To provide patients with a list of local pharmacies.
- To adhere to CLCH Confidentiality Code of Conduct, including always maintaining patient confidentially and storing patient details safely and securely.
- To count and record the total amount of funds within the float at the start and end of each session. Ensure the float is locked away securely at the end of the session.
- To cash up and record the EDS income at the end of each session.
- To accurately complete and sign the EDS reception time sheet, at the start and end of each session.

- Educated to NVQ3 in admin or equivalent combination of NVQ2, courses and experience
- Secretarial/administrative experience in an office environment
- Experience of working with the general public in a customer service role
- Experience of inputting to databases, spreadsheets and/or other IT Systems and business applications used in the office environment
- Understanding of the need for confidentiality
- Ability to create and structure office systems e.g. filing, stationery and equipment ordering
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook )
- Able to work at speed whilst maintaining accuracy (assessed via a test at interview)
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
- Able to prepare routine correspondence independently
