The Head of Professional and Clinical Education role has been developed to work within the CLCH Academy to coordinate and lead the delivery of professional and clinical education, training, and practice development across Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Trust and our partners to ensure that CLCH has robust structures, processes, and systems in place for professional and clinical education and training to support a workforce that is fit for the future and able to deliver high quality services and excellent patient care.

The CLCH Academy provides education and training opportunities to support all community, primary and social care staff within the communities that we work within to deliver effective and compassionate care. The CLCH Academy provides an environment where staff can learn together gaining skills, knowledge, academic accreditation, and professional support enabling them to grow and develop their career. The Head of Professional and Clinical Education is a senior leadership role within the Academy and acts as the Trust's expert advisor on professional and clinical education ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, national and local policy.

Main duties of the job

You should have excellent leadership skills and a strong understanding of healthcare education commissioning and clinical skills delivery to plan and manage the overarching clinical and education training priorities in collaboration with colleagues in the Academy and the operational Divisions.You will work closely with the Assistant Director of the Academy, Deputy Chief Nurse (Education and Patient Experience), Operational Divisional leadership, Academy senior leadership team, Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) and NHS England to ensure that programmes are managed and delivered effectively.For further information please contact either Kieran Kelly, Assistant Director of Academy or Holly Ashforth, Deputy Chief Nurse (Education and Patient Experience) who will be happy to discuss the role with you.
