Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our specialised Multi-Disciplinary Falls team based at Wembley Centre for Health and Care in Brent.You will be managing a varied caseload and providing patient centered care in different settings including community and outpatient clinic.
Applicants should have a relevant professional qualification and clinical experience working with older people at risk of falls.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work alongside the Consultant Physician in clinic, work independently seeing patients in their homes and gain experience in running falls groups, working jointly with a third sector organisation.
The post holder will have opportunities to develop and progress their career though internal training, as well as access to the Trusts Academy. A framework of regular supervision including 1:1 and indirect support from senior Occupational therapist and Physiotherapist, peer supervision, appraisal and in-service training is in place. At the same time, the post holder will be responsible for providing support and supervision to, Rehabilitation Assistants including appraisals and supervisions.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience within the field of Falls prevention service through providing high quality, client-led, goal focused rehabilitation to patients in a friendly and supportive team.
The post holder will be given opportunities and dedicated time for research, audits and cohort/pilot projects of Brent Falls Prevention Service and other partners.
