Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Dietitian to join our award-winning, innovative and highly skilled team. You will be working (alongside three other paediatric dietitians in Brent and a wider CLCH Paediatric Network) with children in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, special schools and domiciliary. You will also provide paediatric dietetic input as part of a multidisciplinary Child Development Team - working closely with Community Paediatricians, Therapy and Nursing teams. Your caseload will include children who are on home enteral tube feeds.
This is a fixed term position for 12 months to cover maternity leave. Ideally, you will work five days per week (working 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday) but flexible / part time working can also be accommodated. There is also the opportunity to undertake hybrid remote working.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have post-graduate paediatric dietetic experience and demonstrate an enthusiasm for working with children.
We welcome you to join our friendly and supportive team of 15 community dietitians who benefit from regular peer support and 1:1 practice supervision to facilitate clinical excellence and personal development. There will also be support from our Trust Paediatric dietetic network. We actively participate in audit, student training and encourage research.

- Post graduate qualification in a dietetic related field (eg paediatric dietetics, health promotion, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy)
Experience
Essential
- Significant post-registration clinical paediatric dietetic experience
- Experience of providing paediatric dietetic advice to nutrition support patients (including patients on enteral feeds)
- Experience of supervising other dietetic or staff
Desirable
- Experience of using EMIS or a similar patient information system (eg SystmOne, RiO).

- Knowledge of food habits encountered in different black & minority ethnic groups
- Ability to undertake assessment and treatment of complex paediatric clients with nutrition related disease
