Job summary

The CLCH Walk in Centre/Urgent Care Centre service at Edgware is an exciting place to work. We put quality at the heart of everything we do and are proud of the services we deliver. We are looking for a band 5 Adult Nurse who wants to be part of a highly skilled and caring team. An interest in tissue viability is essential for this post as a main part of the role while be running and overseeing a wound care clinic. You will also be providing care supporting the clinical practitioners in their role assessing, treating, and managing care for children and adults presenting with urgent care presentations.

The Walk-in centre has a friendly, supportive multidisciplinary team of General Practitioners, Clinical Practitioners, and a health care assistant to deliver an efficient and responsive service for patients and their families.

The service is open 8am to 7pm daily 7 days a week and staff work until 8pm.

Main duties of the job

There is a daily wound care clinic to provide care for patients with acute wounds that is run by the band 5 nurse and health care assistant with support from a senior clinical practitioner. There is also opportunity for support and advice from the CLCH specialist tissue viability and wound care service to ensure patients have the highest standard of evidence-based care.
