Community Phlebotomist - Band 3 - Wandsworth

We currently have a Band 3 Community phlebotomy vacancy in Wandsworth:

Job responsibilities

  • To undertake venepuncture from patients in their own homes. Visit patients in order of priority as listed; there will be a maximum of two fasting patients at the beginning of the list, and one urgent. The phlebotomist will be expected to see up to 10 patients per daily session.
  • To undertake Blood pressure from patients in their own homes.
  • To maintain Knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to deliver a quality service that are responsive to the needs of patients.
  • To report any changes in condition of the patient to the Team Leader or in their absence the designated nurse in charge of the caseload.
  • To document accurate and concise information on all care given to patient in the community health records.
