Community Nurse School Nursing - Band 5 - Merton

Central London Community Health Care Trust (CLCH) has exciting opportunities for passionate and committed qualified Community Staff Nurses to join us in Merton. We are looking for candidates with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our school nursing team contributing to the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme. You will help make a tangible difference to people's lives and enjoy the best that London has to offer on your doorstep.

In out last CQC inspection CLCH was awarded a "GOOD" rating, we are listed amongst the Top 120 NHS organisations to work for by HSJ. Merton 0-19 teams are co-located in Children's Centre's across the borough. We have strong links with our colleagues in Early Years and the Local Authority.

Main duties of the job

CLCH welcomes applications from newly qualified and experienced nurses. Car drivers are desirable but not essential.

To act as a named Community School Staff Nurse for a cluster of low complexity schools, with support from skill mix colleagues

To have a knowledge and understanding of the CLCH safeguarding policies and procedures, the different categories of child abuse and how they may manifest themselves and how policies are applied in practice.
