Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly specialist and proactive registered dietitian to join our award-winning team delivering innovative dietetic services to people with diabetes in Brent.
Managing your own clinical caseload, you will provide outpatient clinics, deliver structured education programmes and training to other health professionals, undertake domiciliary visits to patients in their own homes and have the opportunity to be a key part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.
You will also be supported by an experienced team of community dietitians who hold regular peer support meetings and provide 1:1 supervision to facilitate clinical excellence and personal development. We actively participate in audit, student training and encourage research.
Main duties of the job
To be the Dietetic lead within the Community Diabetes Service to provide a specialist clinical Dietetic Service which contributes to the delivery of the diabetes specification within the well-established multidisciplinary Community Diabetes Service in line with the strategic direction of the Service and Trust objectives.
You must be able to demonstrate skills and enthusiasm for working in a community setting. You will provide culturally competent and evidence-based personalised dietetic advice to the diverse community of Brent.
Weekend working would be required, dependent on service needs.
You will have the opportunity to undertake hybrid working as part of your role.

- Degree in Dietetics
- oMembership of the British Dietetics Association
- Evidence of further study in specialist area e.g., Msc in Diabetes, Warwick Diabetes
- Course or significant experience

- Membership of the British Dietetics Association Membership of Special Interest Group, e.g., DMEG
- Teacher/Training qualification
- Supervisory skills training
- Post registration training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
