An exciting new opportunity for a registered Physiotherapist to join our newly restructured Harrow Integrated Care - Short Term Rehabilitation Service. You will be part of a rotation covering Discharge to assess, Community based therapy and inpatient therapy within rehabilitation units.

You will be working alongside senior Physiotherapy colleagues, Occupational Therapists, community Nurses and a range of other AHPs providing home & community-based rehabilitation programmes in a diverse community.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with the team leads, clinicians to develop the service and maintain close working relationships with both acute and community services.

This post will give the successful applicant opportunity to experience a wealth of learning and development and to work alongside a responsive dynamic team who put patient centred care at the heart of what they do. We work in an inter-disciplinary way to provide client-centred, goal focused therapy to patients in the community.

We require an organised registered Physiotherapist who can demonstrate Physiotherapy clinical skills to work at band 6 level.

The ability to work alone in a community multidisciplinary team and manage junior staff is essential to this role.

This is a 7 day service, with potential in the future to be required to work extended hours.

Essential

  • Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Current HPC registration.
  • Evidence of up to date CPD portfolio, including evidence related to the treatment of older people and physical disabilities

Desirable

  • Member of CSP.
  • Member of Special Interest Group.
  • Post graduate qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant post graduate experience.
  • Working at a Junior level in a wide range of clinical areas, including neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal, respiratory and orthopaedic medicine and elderly rehabilitation.
  • Experience in assessing and treating patients with physical conditions
  • Experience of treating adult and/or elderly client groups
  • Experience of current PT assessment and treatment techniques/modalities.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in the NHS.
  • Experience in Falls Prevention and community work
  • Experience in supervising staff and students

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge and understanding of complex medical conditions including multi pathologies and falls
  • High level skills in the assessment and treatment of adults with complex multipathologies
