Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Employee Health team of Central London Community Health Care NHS Trust providing occupational health services to one of the largest community Trusts in London and external contracts.
You will be a Registered Nurse with either a Diploma/Degree or Post Graduate Diploma/MSc in Occupational Health and have experience working in an occupational health environment. Consideration will be given to candidates with relevant occupational health experience who are due to graduate in Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health) Degree/PgDip/MSc in September 2023.
You will have up to date knowledge of best practice and the law relating to occupational health as well as the ability to apply this to service delivery. Therefore, you will require strong managerial and clinical skills alongside strong interpersonal and organisational skills. You must have excellent communication skills, IT competent, flexible proactive approach and be able to manage a varied workload without supervision.
The post is a peripatetic post and the post holder will be required to work at the Employee Health sites at Edgware Community Hospital (HA8 0AD), St Charles Centre for Health & Wellbeing (W10 6DZ) and Trust sites across CLCH to ensure adequate delivery of service.
Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain a comprehensive Occupational Health Service for the staff of CLCH and external contracts.
This is a peripatetic post and there will be a requirement to travel to sites across CLCH to ensure adequate delivery of service.
To contribute to the management of physical resources, including budget and staff within their sphere of responsibility, in line with contractual and professional standards.
To work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure seamless health care delivery for employees.

- delivering clinical assessment that might include: clinical activities in relation to health surveillance, work protection immunisations, screening, occupational exposure incidents, sharps awareness & advice;
- working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and promoting the effective use of the Employee Health Service;
- undertaking pre-employment screening paper assessment as requested by appointing officers;
