Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate with excellent leadership and team working skills and the vision and determination to drive continued development of innovative, enthusiastic, and highly effective Podiatry services.
This is a busy and varied role, one which requires the post holder to have a flexible approach to their working duties, to coordinate administrative and clinical services to the Podiatry team based in Willesden Centre for H & C.
On occasion the post holder may be expected to travel across borough to our other team in Ealing, to support the function of the Podiatry Department. You will have had experience in a clinical role with some management responsibilities and will be required to line manage staff.
You will be able to lead and participate in service development, to identify the need for new practice and determine methods of implementing change.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication and inter-personal/negotiation skills, be able to prioritise and have the ability to work under pressure. To undertake appraisals/personal development review 1-1's with team members and support staff in achieving their/organisational goals.
This is a Permanent Contract to replace a staff vacancy. The post will be based within the Podiatry
Main duties of the job
To provide high-quality care to a diverse range of podiatry patients in a wide variety of settings. To assess diagnose, treat, plan and manage the podiatric (lower limb and foot care) needs of the local and transient populations in a wide variety of settings, in order to maintain patient mobility and independence
To work in collaboration with a team of Podiatrists and other care providers to ensure seamless care delivery for all patients and where appropriate to liaise with and refer and work under direction on Band 6.
The post holder will be expected to undertake appropriate clinical rotation(s) and will be supported by supervision and mentoring sessions.
The post holder will, with their manager identify their knowledge and skills and will be encouraged to work towards the skills and knowledge level of a Specialist Podiatrist.
