Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our North Central London Division for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a well established Unplanned Care Therapy Team based in Edgware Community Hospital, Barnet, North London. There are also monthly peer support groups and regular supervision/appraisals. Main duties of the job
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) with Community Therapy experience, enthusiasm and innovative working practice. The role would suit someone looking to develop their Community working with a supportive and friendly team. Excellent communication (Written and Verbal) skills are required for multidisciplinary working, problem solving, and collaborative working with Community partners/Acute discharge teams.
The successful post holders should have a Bsc/Msc in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC membership. They should be highly organised with skills to complete specialised OT assessments in patient's homes, using evidence based tools and approaches to identify physical, cognitive and psychosocial impairments and their impact on functional (ADL) tasks. He/she should be able to formulate treatment plans, with sound clinical knowledge to prevent hospital admissions.
The suitable person will participate in seven day working Rota and have an ability to work 37.5 hours per week.
