We are looking to recruit 2 x Band 6 registered nurses to clinically lead and manage our wound care clinic based at Soho Centre for Health and Care. This is a brand-new service so you will gain experience in developing and operationally managing the service on a day-to-day basis. The service will run 7 days a week and will be part of the walk-in centre based at Soho.

You will be part of our broader dynamic team which works in the scope of advanced practice. As a highly valued member of our team, the quality of care we provide starts with you. Main duties of the job

The role of the Team Lead is to operationally manage the service on a day-to-day basis and to provide autonomous skilled wound care by assessing, managing and treating a variety of wounds, such as acute and chronic wounds, including minor burns and post op wounds. They will manage onwards referrals as needed, liaising with other healthcare professionals.

The team lead with take responsibility for managing the caseload and the teams, with the support of the Clinical Leads for the WICs, to provide the best possible service for our patients.

They will deliver a proactive case managed approach for patients with long term wound care needs, care for patients referred by 111, the GP out of hours service, LAS, requiring more acute or chronic wound management.

The Team Lead will use their breadth of knowledge to provide holistic and person-centred care and support for people of all ages across all sites and to lead a dressings clinic. They will actively contribute to the care and improvement of the local populations health and wellbeing and will supervise and develop Registered Nurses in the team.
