Job summary
We are looking for experienced diabetes specialist nurse to join our Inner London Diabetes Service.
We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of Consultant, Specialist Nurses, Dietitians, Podiatrist as well as admin team. The team receives referrals from Primary care and community services as well as local acute hospitals. We are based at Lisson Grove Health Centre and have clinics at different sites as well as home visits.
So what do you need to join our team?
- Relevant post registration training and experience in the management of patients with mainly Type 2 Diabetes
- Ideally be an Independent Nurse Prescriber or demonstrate a willingness to achieve this qualification
- Be a great a team player who is willing to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver the best care possible for our patients
- Have a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, safe, patient care and be a good role model in reflecting the Trusts core values
- You should be able to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions and within stressful, unpredictable situations including responding to and solving urgent and emergency situations on a daily basis.
- Be competent to offer guidance and supervision to members of the clinical team
- Please note that applicants for Barnet post will need to have access to a car.
