Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Teaching Fellow to support the Aston University undergraduate medical students placed at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust (BCHC). This is a fixed-term appointment of 12 months.
Main duties of the job
Please refer to the job description for full details about the post. The role involves teaching undergraduate medical students and undertaking ward duties within the geriatrics department. There is no obligation to participate in an out-of-hours rota; however, locum shifts are available for those interested in additional out-of- hours work. The successful applicants will be encouraged to apply and complete a PG Certificate in Medical Education (funded as part of post).
About us
The team is a small friendly group of consultants and staff grades in
Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine. BCHC has community in-patient
beds at both Moseley Hall and West Heath Hospital, as well as outpatient
services.
