Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) would love to hear from you, as we are seeking to recruit Bank Level 6 Children's Rapid Response Nurses for flexible working opportunities in Birmingham via our Temporary Staffing Department
Our Children's Rapid Response Nursing Teams provide high quality, specialist nursing care to children/families in their own home in order to prevent inappropriate hospital admissions/attendances, shortening length of hospital stay and providing greater choice to child and families around chosen place of care.
Main duties of the job
Our Rapid Response Nurses work autonomously and act independently working within our Policies procedures and guidelines and have experience of working with children with complex healthcare needs/life limiting/ threatening illnesses and end of life.
They work across organisations and different sectors with multiple professionals to ensure the provision of evidence based therapeutic interventions providing comprehensive assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of care.

- RSCN/RN Child Branch
- ENB 998 (Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice) or equivalent
- Community Children's Nursing qualification or equivalent
- Clinical assessment course equivalent
- Independent supplementary prescriber or equivalent
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working with children with complex healthcare needs/life limiting/ threatening illnesses and end of life
- Significant experience of working as a Children's Nurse either RSCN/RN Child
Skills / Knowledge

- Ability to manage team on a day to day basis in the absence of the Team Leader
- Demonstrate knowledge relating to child protection issues and procedures
- Evidence of assessment skills and use of nursing process and nurse models
- Demonstrate sound use and application of NMC Code of Conduct and scope of professional care
