You will work as part of the team for Special School Nursing under the direction of the Office Manager, reporting relevant information to Special School Nurses by undertaking administrative duties to enable the service to function effectively & support to deliver a high standard of care to children/young people.
You will work 30 hours per week, term-time only contract. Monday to Friday.
The post of the administrator will support the service (City- Wide) and will cover a range of duties, predominately data input, telephone answering, monitoring of generic email accounts, pulling patient records, placing equipment orders and undertake furthermore administrative duties. There will be an expectation for the post holder to help with admin support where needed.
The successful candidate will be expected to support systems and processes in the team and underpin the smooth running of the office. It is essential that you possess excellent organisational & communication skills as well as IT skills with a flexible approach to work that will meet the ever-changing needs of the Service. In addition, successful candidates must work well as part of a large team, be self-motivated and able to prioritise their workload.
Main duties of the job
To be the primary point of contact for liaison within the Special School Nurse Clinical Team, giving information and guidance to patients, carers, relatives and staff.
You will need to be able to travel across sites, city wide.
To work on own initiative and organise their own workload without direct supervision on a daily basis to ensure deadlines are met and to enable compliance with Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
To undertake a comprehensive range of administrative duties. Having responsibility for high quality maintenance of Clinical Record Systems. Ensuring information is recorded correctly in order for the efficient operation of the Service.
To be responsible for the maintenance and updating of all records and documents and maintaining an efficient filing system. The post holder will undertake a range of clerical duties including using a PC for word processing, PAS & Child Health System.
