The post holder will assist in the provision of a comprehensive receptionist/administrative service on a day to day basis, to accurately input confidential data using a variety of Trust IT systems and the Electronic Patient Record (Rio), and contributing to the efficient and effective running of all administrative and office systems, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, where appropriate, within the Learning Disabilities Service.
Main duties of the job
- To assist in the provision of a meet and greet service, to monitor and maintain the reception area, ensuring a polite, efficient and professional introduction is given to all patients, staff and other visitors, maintaining a signing in/out book.
- To receive and deal with incoming calls and take the appropriate action, communicating accurate messages.
To ensure that the reception area remain clean and tidy and always present a good image of the LD service.
To support the uploading and inputting of data to databases/spread sheets and electronic patient record. This will include the Essential Care Indicator (ECI) data, updating Referral to Treatment (RTT) spread sheet and other clinical documentation as requested.
To update the patient administration system for the purpose of extracting, amending, and in-putting data as directed in above.
To accurately access the patient administration system and all patients related information as required whilst assessing any risks to patient confidentiality and maintaining confidentiality.
- To support the provision of general administration duties i.e. copy typing and appointment letters.
- Assist in requests for faxing, filing, scanning.
