A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an influential senior leadership position to deliver clinical services operating within a Locality Hub model, which is a key component in delivering Neighbourhood Health as per the NHS 10 Year Plan. BCHC, as the lead for the Community Care Collaborative has been influential in the 10 Year Plan, receiving national recognition for its collaborative approach across health and care sectors
There are 5 designated Hubs for Birmingham, East Locality Hub (Washwood Heath Health Centre) has been operational for over 12 months and has established the framework for delivering Neighbourhood health across the City, 4 hubs in progress to become established by Sept 2025. The hubs core components consist of care co-ordination, associated Integrated Neighbourhood Teams and designated clinical pathways to provide same day emergency care and preventing unnecessary admissions support timely discharge and flow. This model of care is dependent on complex system data and its interpretation
The Group Manager is a critical leadership role and will have strategic and operational oversight of services being delivered. It will play a key role in shaping and ensuring delivery of care services within the hub via its collaboration with Acute, Mental Health, Primary Care and Voluntary Sector partners. A truly innovative and integrated model of care is seen as a real opportunity to make a difference to its respective local community and the care they receive
This role demands a dynamic, inclusive and engaging leader who can continue to motivate teams, and drive service transformation, operational performance and excellence, with workforce engagement across complex care environments.
Main duties of the job
Key components of the role include:
To provide strong visible, inclusive and compassionate leadership across the Locality Hub.
Promote a culture of collaboration and effective communication across teams within the Hub and with external partners.
To deputise for the senior leadership responsible for the locality hub. This may include current Deputy Director/ Director level.
To review and improve the services, in partnership with external Partners, taking into account local and national guidelines, national NHS/government policy and guidance from the Trust.
To ensure that effective strategies are in place for the Locality Hub and that key elements of the services within it are joined up with Locality business plans and developments.
To lead on the demand and capacity profiling across the services within the Locality Hub, ensuring workforce plans reflect the demand profile and appropriate delivery of the required activity.
Ensure robust performance monitoring systems are in place to track service delivery, outcomes, and quality standards.
