A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work within the Orthopaedic Triage arm of our MSK Service within the diverse and vibrant city of Birmingham. We are a large team offering Orthopaedic Triage and Pain Management Specialties in addition to core Physiotherapy Out-Patient clinics in 17 locations across the city.
We are looking for a highly experienced, Masters level educated Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our friendly, innovative and forward-thinking team. The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate evidence of substantial post-graduate experience of working within an Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy environment.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about providing first class assessment & treatment to people with a variety of both chronic and acute MSK disorders.You will need experience in requesting and interpretation of various diagnostic imaging media, injection therapy and of operating as an autonomous first line assessor of complex MSK conditions. You should be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge & evidence of CPD in MSK Physiotherapy & be prepared to contribute to our comprehensive IST Programme & Clinical Interest Groups.
You will be responsible for managing your own patient caseload within a supportive & experienced team and it is likely that you will supervise and appraise junior members of staff and students. There will be the opportunity to initiate, lead on & contribute to Service Development initiatives and be involved in regular audits and other Research activity.
Clinics are provided citywide and staff are expected to travel to clinics in order to meet the demands of the Service. There will also be an expectation to travel to meetings and education events across the geography of the Trust.

- As a wider MSK service, we meet in groups of clinicians (comprising of band 3-8b) on a monthly basis to work on a specific project related to developing our Service. These monthly meetings are also used for IST & to discuss complex case scenarios.
- You will have your own CPD time to be used for personal development such as peer sessions with other clinicians. Course funding may be available subject to service requirements.
- You will also have the opportunity to participate in service development such as clinical audit, overseeing the running of classes & project based initiatives.
- We are a research-active MSK service & have been clinical sites for trials such as BOOST, TEMPO, PANDA & GRASP.
