Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are responsible for the delivery of the Neonatal BCG Immunisation Programme across Birmingham and Solihull.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative self-motivated registered nurse to join our team to work. The successful candidate will work closely with the clinical leads/manager to continue to develop this community clinic-based service.
The successful candidate will be required to administer BCG vaccinations working from clinic locations across Birmingham and share up to date Immunisation knowledge effectively with families to promote the uptake of the BCG Immunisation.
The post holder will also be involved in the implementation of public health strategies to optimise the uptake of immunisations as well as health promotion education around the programme delivered by the service
Experience of vaccinations is derisible but not essential, as full training will be given.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an essential member of the Neonatal BCG Immunisation Team, optimising the uptake of the BCG Immunisations through health promotion activities. They will assist in the planning and delivery of the Neonatal BCG vaccination along with the safe administration of the BCG vaccination following national guidelines.
The post holder will work in a variety of clinic settings as well as within the office environment.
