Senior IT Technician - Permanent
An excellent opportunity is available within Digital Technology Services for a Senior IT Technician to join the Trust's Infrastructure Team.
We are seeking a highly experienced technical lead who has a demonstrable track record, through use of their initiative and leadership skills, of successfully managing the Trust's main data storage and server infrastructure platform.
Main duties of the job
The Senior IT Technician is responsible for the development, management and maintenanceof the Trust's core IT Infrastructure. The post holder will be responsible for leading ontechnical development and implementation of system interoperability in accordance with theTrust's Technical Strategy.
- Responsible for the development and management of the Trust's IT enterpriseinfrastructure systems. Ensuring operations and data security is maintained to apremium.
- Responsible for providing technical expertise on infrastructure systems such as: Cisconetworks, Nutanix Hyperconvergence infrastructure, Citrix, MS Azure Cloud Solutionand Palo Alto Firewalls, ensuring system integration runs smoothly.
- Act as the technical lead on system interoperability projects collaborating with ProjectManagers and effectively managing a Team ensuring project delivery is on time andwell communicated.
- Responsible for working within expected budget limits.
- Responsible for providing troubleshooting technical expertise where expected.Diagnosing problems and identifying solutions.
- Responsible for liaising effectively with Service Support Managers on system deliverywhere required.
