Advert Band 6 Children's Complex Care Nursing Care Co-ordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Children's nurse to join an established team of Children's Complex Care Nurses in Birmingham. This is a city wide service that offers personalised specialist nursing support to children & families with a variety of highly complex physical health needs.
We provide bespoke commissioned packages of care to children within their own homes, schools and other community locations. The service operates seven days a week and 24 hours a day.
If you are an experienced Children's Nurse with enhanced clinical skills and have advanced communication skills you may be who we are looking for to join our busy team. This post will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop rewarding therapeutic relationships with children & families in a community setting.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality nursing care according to agreed standards which are set and monitored.

Main duties of the job
In return the successful candidate will be offered opportunities to develop both clinically and professionally within a supportive environment and be encouraged to participate in service developments. Formal clinical supervision and a supported induction period will be provided.
Within this role you will be required to provide training and supervision to other members of the team including health care assistants as well as parents and family members ensuring their competence in meeting the care needs of specific children and young people. This client group has highly complex health needs which include children and young people that are technology dependent i.e. requiring invasive ventilation. The Children's Complex Care Team forms part of the wider Specialist Nursing Service which includes Children's Rapid Response, Children's Palliative Care and the Children's Community Nursing Team.
