Job summary
Are you interested in helping patients regain nutritional status, eating and drinking skills after a brain injury? If so, we are looking for someone like you to learn from and support our Band 7 dietitian on our 32 bedded inpatient Level 1 neurorehabilitation unit (INRU), based at Moseley Hall Hospital in Birmingham.
Main duties of the job
The INRU multidisciplinary team is passionate about supporting adults with complex acquired neurological conditions to achieve their rehabilitation goals. The dietitian is held in high regard and works closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor and maintain patients' nutrition and hydration needs, enabling complex patients to work towards their discharge destination. Experience of nutritional support, dysphagia and enteral feeding is essential for this role. You will also have opportunity to work alongside our award-winning Nutrition Nurse team to develop your enteral feeding knowledge and practice.
This unique post is part of a community hospitals' dietetic team which has good support from dietetic assistant practitioners.
