An exciting opportunity has arisen for A Head of Digital Services to join the Digital Technology Services at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC). The post holder will be responsible for leadership and management, playing a pivotal role in delivering first-class innovative digital services supporting the Trust, ensuring the delivery of the long-term Digital Strategy across BCHC.
The post-holder will have management and leadership responsibility for the technical services, service delivery and development teams, alongside application support, telecommunications, and infrastructure services.
Main duties of the job
- Lead in the development and implementation of the digital strategy to support the delivery of digital services across the trust. This will involve working within the remit of multiple strategies at a National, Regional and Trust level and using highly complex analysis to inform how to deliver services to meet their requirements.
- Provide an effective and responsive Digital and Technology Services, including the delivery of of digitally supported models of care to ensure the needs of patients.
- Ensure that the commitment to tackling inequalities and adopting an inclusive approach is at the heart of the digital delivery model, including ensuring the Trust are supporting their workforce with capabilities to use digital services.
- Provide expertise on best practice for technological developments, by identifying opportunities for increasing the effectiveness and efficiency through changes to digital services and technology.
- Manage the staff/resources/budget of the digital department of BCHC to ensure that there is sufficient capacity and resource to deliver the digital plans within agreed budget and timescales.
