Would you like to become a specialist clinician The Bladder and Bowel service previously known as the 'continence' service are a specialist service and provide treatment for BCHC patients experiencing bladder an bowel problems. We are looking for dynamic clinicians NMC or HCPC Registered to join our service and help us to showcase our expertise! As well as running specialist nurse led clinics we also provide training for our Trusts staff and also run ' health education' for our BCHC Community, Interested?

Exciting opportunities have arisen for a band 6 Bladder and Bowel Dysfunction Specialist Clinician to join the Specialist Bladder and Bowel Team for 1 full time post 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

This is an excellent opportunity for a band 5/6 Clinician who is passionate about caring for patients with bladder or bowel dysfunction, to consolidate and build on their existing knowledge and skills.

You will be a first level Health Care Professional with relevant experience in Bladder and Bowel promotion and evidence of a qualification in Bladder and Bowel management.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and forward thinking Specialist Bladder and Bowel team and as part of the Bladder and Bowel team you will undertake Community clinics and domiciliary work. You must be able to work in a variety of settings both autonomously and also in a supervisory role. .

An ability to teach carers, clients and staff in Bladder and Bowel Management is essential and excellent communication skills are required.

On-going training and support is very much part of the team philosophy and informal discussions and visits are encouraged.

  • Registered General Nurse 1st Level
  • Degree in health related subject or equivalent
  • Community nursing degree or relevant modules. i.e. urology modules, women's health module, health assessment modules, gastroenterology, specific continence care modules
  • Supplementary Nurse Prescriber

Desirable

  • ENB 998/City and Guilds 730 or similar teaching qualifications

Experience

  • Significant post graduate experience as a qualified nurse
