Job summary

The primary role is to undertake direct training of staff across the Trust. The post holder would be responsible for developing training materials, in particular e-Learning materials to support training delivery.

The post holder will workclosely with colleagues in other teams to ensure the content and delivery of training is suitable and supportive to the needs of end users and services.

Training is delivered face to face within one of our IT training rooms or at various Trust sites across Birmingham, virtually via Microsoft Teams or via e-Learning.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with service leads, identifying clearly defined processes in readiness for training delivery and training materials.

The post holder will have lead responsibility for particular work streams and projects in relation to corporate objectives and organisational team priorities.

The post holder will be required to develop end user training modules reflecting a number of care settings, software packages and releases.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of end user training to a range of staff. Training will need to be flexible and incorporate e-learning where appropriate, offering a blended learning approach.

The post holder must be able to contend with an ever-evolving environment.

All trainers will undergo specialist training and be accredited in advance of the need to deliver end user training to multiple clinical services including Consultants, Service Leads and Managers.

The trainers will work closely with colleagues within the Trust following current workflow practices and identifying where processes will change with the implementation of the new systems.

Trainers are responsible for the safe use and maintenance of equipment in training rooms, other than equipment which they personally use.

  • oProven specialist I.T. training and/ or significant specialist NHS system training experience, delivering training to delegates of all levels
  • oExperience of managing differentiation to accommodate mixed abilities
