Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our In-Patient Rehabilitation Team. Our Inpatient Therapy Service covers a large geographical area within Birmingham and includes 6 monthly rotational areas within an Intermediate Care Unit, Sub-acute Medical Wards, and Neuro Wards.
This post offers an exciting challenge to work within the Discharge to Assess Model with a complex clinical caseload of general medical, trauma and orthopaedics and neurological conditions of older people, and focuses on client-centred practice within a holistic approach

Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the clinical diagnosis, assessment and ongoing physiotherapeutic management of In-Patients. Conditions may include complex permanent disabilities, multiple pathologies, life-limiting conditions and challenging and unpredictable behaviours.
- To provide physiotherapy on the bedded units/gym setting and to undertake assessments of patients in their own homes prior to discharge.
- To work with and provide support to more junior colleagues, PT students on placement and work experience students.
- To act as a source of advice and information for colleagues of all disciplines, patients and their carers/relatives.
- To promote and maintain the ethos of PT in all clinical and professional activities
