Rotational Occupational Therapist

The closing date is 02 April 2026

Job summary

Do you want to part of a Trust that values their staff? Do you want to be part of a Trust that has a strong preceptorship programme and develops their therapists? Do you want to be part of a Trust that cares about their staff's health and wellbeing and supports a good home / work life balance?

Do you want to be part of a team that supports, nutures and listens to their colleagues? Do you want to be part of a team that encourages MDT working? Do you want to be part of a team that encourages it's colleagues to improve ways of working?

If the answer to all of this is 'yes' then this is the role for you. We can offer you a rotational role which could include getting experience in Adult Therapy, Community Hospital, Stroke Service, Discharge to Assess, St Barnabas as well as other services.

We can offer you flexible working within our service hours, regular supervision, guidance and mentorship. Come and join a great Trust in a lovely part of the country where the country meets the sea!!

Main duties of the job

As the successful candidate, your role will include providing occupational therapy interventions to a mainly older person demographic either in the community or on a community rehabilitation ward setting.

You will join an established team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, assistant practitioners and therapy assistants to provide rehabilitation to our patients to encourage them to be as independent as possible and to support them with problem solving any barriers they face when trying to achieve this.

You will hold your own caseload and be an autonomous worker, being able to decide how to arrange your day whilst having a good support network around you.

You will be provided with time to undertake a preceptorship programme if applicable and to complete training appropriate to the role both internally and externally.

You will be encouraged to develop whilst in this role as we like to 'grow our own' and this will be discussed with your during your supervisions and appraisals.

About us

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagement in the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.

At LCHS, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in LCHS' workforce.

LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.

We are an ambassador of a learning culture that will support the right individual to progress in their chosen career through an 'earn while you learn' apprenticeship programme.
