Job summary

Children's Occupational and Physiotherapy Therapy - Assistant Practitioner Band 4

Are you passionate about delivering a high quality service to children in Lincolnshire? Are you motivated and dedicated to supporting children with complex physical and health needs to become more independent? We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Assistant Practitioner to join the service in these exciting new developments.

You will play a key role in supporting Therapy staff in delivering high quality care to children in their home or educational establishment.

Please note a foundation degree in healthcare (or equivalent) is essential for this post. Please see person specification for full details.

Main duties of the job

You will lead on the non-complex developmental delay caseload and running of the local Down's Syndrome group as well as contribute to training packages run by the Children's Therapy team. You will support the therapists with equipment reviews. You will be based within the patch that covers the east coast of the county (including Skegness, Louth, Horncastle), but you will be expected to be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

Experience of working with children with physical needs would be an advantage. We have a comprehensive in-house training programme structured around core child development competencies, regular in-service training in teams, and access to further learning through LCHS and external courses.
