Job summary

Respond to service users in the vaccination service:

  • To welcome service users, relatives and carers to the unit
  • Booking in on arrival
  • Accurately, and confidentially completing the initial patient assessment on point of care system
  • Supporting any service user needs and summoning any help as necessary
  • Dealing with any queries by referring on appropriately

Main duties of the job

To provide day to day effective and efficient administration support

  • To operate a confidential and effective appointmentsbooking system and to receive, register and direct patients tothe appropriate area for consultation/vaccination
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • To be able to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
  • To talk to patients/clients in a positive and friendly mannerand deal with their queries is appropriate or refer on if necessary
  • Deal with administrative duties in a timely and efficientmanner
