An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist with a keen interest in SEND, Mental Health, and schools to work within the SEND MHST (Mental Health Support Team).
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and forward-thinking clinician who can work flexibly and is committed to the success and delivery of the SEND MHST. The post will be full-time, for initially 9 months with potential of extension.
This role requires you to drive across Hertfordshire and West Essex to visit children and schools. You must hold a full valid driving license, and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will be:
- Able to support and enhance the care of children and young people (CYP) within the service.
- Able to provide psychological assessment and interventions within the MHST under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
- Able to develop effective and mutually respectful relationships with health, education, social care and voluntary sector.
- Able to assist in clinically related administration, conduct audits and research projects, collect and analyse service data, develop databases, and to participate in teaching and project work.
- Able to actively contribute to the development of the service.
- Able to maintain a high degree of professionalism when working in settings where there is a highly emotive atmosphere.
- Flexible in their approach and have resilience under pressure
- Able to work both in a team environment and autonomously

- To produce reports and summaries under supervision and to maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing.
