Do you want to be part of an innovative and agile Children and Young People's Therapy service committed to delivering high quality care? We are looking to recruit a Children's Physiotherapist to join our well-established Children's Physiotherapy team, based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
We are currently looking to recruit to a 1 WTE (full time) post.
Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust provides integrated Children's Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy Services for families across the county. Our integrated service is jointly commissioned by health and education, allowing us to provide a seamless pathway of care from early years through to schools and specialist provisions.
Main duties of the job
This post would suit a Band 5 PT who is looking to progress towards a Band 6 Specialist role in Paediatrics. The successful applicant will be given a set of competencies to progress into the Band 6 role and work under the supervision of a named mentor to support this transition.
The successful applicant will be expected to hold a varied caseload for young people aged 0-19 years, providing interventions in a variety of settings such as homes, clinics, and schools, including special schools. Post graduate experience/training within paediatrics is desirable, however having a broad range of clinical skills across various rotations would also be taken into consideration. Support, mentoring and further training will be provided to meet the individual needs of practitioners in areas where up skilling and development is required.
Our integrated service provides opportunities for collaborative working, joint training and shared learning amongst each profession. We work closely with colleagues in education, with well-established relationships.

- Regular clinical supervision, managerial supervision and a well-established appraisal system
- CPD opportunities, including in service masterclasses
- Opportunities to work alongside other therapists/assistants to deliver intervention to children/young people requiring specialist support
- A initial induction period where you will have the opportunity to observe and shadow your team.
