Main duties of the job
Applicants must have good organisational skills, a range of office skills and experience in working in administration. Warmth and empathy are important as you will have telephone contact with vulnerable service users on a daily basis. Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, a friendly approach and being enthusiastic are all required for this post. A knowledge of dental software would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.

To work within the Special Care Dental Administrative Team, to enter data on Dental R4 software and SystmOne relating to referrals into the dental clinics and domiciliary service, to book and cancel appointments within the R4 diary and communicate with professional staff and the general public with tact and sensitivity.The role will include responding to variations in workload as outlined below; Provide quality clinical administrative and referral management to support theservices delivered in the Special Care Dental Service across the county. Work unsupervised on assigned administrative tasks. To actively participate in the Trusts mandatory training where appropriate.Support the day-to-day running of the dental service main administration office andSandridge Gate and to act as a point of contact for patient queries and professionals in relation to referral information
