Are you an enthusiastic dietitian with an interest in working with adults with neurological conditions in the community setting?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic dietitian, to join the Integrated Nutrition and Dietetics Service at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT). This band 6 post will be based at Danesbury Neurological Centre and covers patients with neurological conditions across East & North Hertfordshire in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, inpatient rehabilitation units, patients' homes, clinics and, care homes depending on service needs.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic dietitian open to innovation, with excellent communication and team working skills to join our team. The post holder will work in collaboration with a variety of professionals, community staff and care agencies.

This post joins a larger team of dietitians working across Hertfordshire within a number of specialties including paediatrics, community, acute, home enteral feeding and diabetes. We work in collaboration with other Trusts and stakeholders providing aspects of dietetic care topatients within Hertfordshire.

We can offer you 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,769 and a maximum payment of £2,011 per annum (pro rata)

Main duties of the job

The role includes patient work including experience in the following areas:

  • Inpatient neurological rehabilitation unit
  • Outpatient appointments (face to face and virtual)
  • Home enteral feeding
  • Home visits and care homes
  • Group education

You must hold a full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
