We are seeking a compassionate, experienced leader to join Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust as Assistant Director for Children and Young People's Specialist Services. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across a wide range of services, including Medical and Nursing, Therapies, and Mental Health, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead operational delivery of CYP specialist services

  • Drive performance, quality, and patient safety standards

  • Manage service budgets and ensure efficient use of resources

  • Support service transformation and improvement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements

  • Provide strategic leadership across multi-disciplinary teams

  • Represent the Trust in partnerships and system-wide forums

  • Deputise for the Deputy Director as needed

  • Respond to incidents, complaints, and service user feedback

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning
