The Welwyn and Hatfield Integrated Community Team has an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join us. The post holder must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate collaborative working.

Main duties of the job

Welwyn Hatfield Integrated Community Team are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our friendly, supportive and award winning Integrated Care team. You will be working alongside our trained nursing and therapy staff assisting them in the day to day care and management of our patients to ensure they receive safe, high quality nursing care.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will work alongside our diverse team comprised of nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and technical instructors. We work to provide evidence based nursing care to patients in their own homes. Our service operates 8am - 10pm 365 days a year. We offer flexible working patterns and are happy to consider full or part time applicants.

In Welwyn and Hatfield Integrated Community team we have countless success stories of staff who have joined as a Health Care Assistant and gone on to complete the Nursing Associate training and Registered Nurse top up. To support and enable patients in a range of activities to promote independent living and monitor their well-being.To undertake administration and clerical tasks that are associated with the care process including record keeping and use of computer.
