Job summary
HCT require a Data Engineer to lead the building of the architecture to house a fully-fledged data warehouse environment. This will include developing appropriate ETL processes to ensure data is received from all the Trust's internal and external systems and liaising with the Trust's 3rd party suppliers to build an efficient system.
Main duties of the job
Develop the Trust's Data Warehouse as the primary source of all management information relating to patient activity and corporate functions, by the introduction of datasets or views of data, ensuring that NHS data standards are adhered to and tables within the system are structured so as to maximise interrogation speed.

You will be responsible for designing T/SQL and SSIS ETL routines that adhere to an Enterprise data & information architecture. You will create data marts for end users, implementing ETL best practices, data modelling, error-handling, etc. You will also facilitate the development of effective BI requirements through a solid understanding of modern DW tools, techniques, and best practices. The ideal candidate will be able to assess organisational opportunities to integrate new and existing company systems into the DW platform as part of a long-term strategic roadmap and develop the Trusts Cloud based solutions.
