Job summary

A you looking for a and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Adults Management team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. We are looking for a highly motivated Locality Manager to support Integrated Community Teams in North Localities (North Herts, Stevenage and Royston localities) The post Holder needs to be able to Provide strong clinical and effective operational management of the day-to-day delivery of clinical services within the designated localities via internal and external connections and alongside the locality lead. In addition to support the Locality Lead and Assistant Director of Urgent and Emergency Care in the delivery of locality-based services, ensuring an integrated approach with specialist services, focused on meeting the needs of a designated community of patients and their carers.

Main duties of the job

To take responsibility for ensuring effective capacity and demand management across service areas, in order to meet activity and waiting time directives, in line with the wider locality performance plan and present data when required.To provide managerial leadership to staff within areas of responsibility, ensuring implementation of and compliance with policies and procedures, responding to complaints and incidents and monitoring data to ensure action is taken to correct and prevent recurrence and to ensure escalation processes are understood and embedded.To work effectively with the designated operational contacts for local service providers i.e. GP practices and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and partnership working.To be responsible for the delegated budget and resource management in line with standing financial instructions.To be responsible for the self-development of skills and competencies through participation in training and development activities, and to maintain up to date technical and professional knowledge relevant to the post and to ensure own continued professional development, maintaining clinical and managerial credibility.To participate in Trusts on call rota
